Location of Recording
Sweden. Possibly at the Rinell family cabin named Sulatorp which lies a few kilometers outside of the town of Björketorp, which is about an hour drive from Göteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden. If not at Sulatorp the party was at Oscar and Hellen's apartment in Torslanda, close to Göteborg.

Background
Hellen was a missionary to China and her twin brother was a missionary to Africa. Both retired to Sweden.

The tape records the conversations during the party. Oscar later gives a summary of the party and list who were present. Hellen continues on the tape in Swedish, followed by her son Roy who talks about a new director of the Park Avenue Hotel in Göteborg where Roy works. Roy mentioned a Chinese delegation who are in Sweden to possibly purchase a large number of cars. Oscar did some translation into Chinese for the delegation.

Oscar also mentions that when he left China he was only allowed $100 in cash, so Oscar used some of his other cash to have custom made trousers to take with him out of China. He had not worn one of those trousers until recently - was over 30 years later.

Oscar continued talking about flooding at the orphanage in Korea. In Korea they asked for money. Oscar went to a dinner in which he mentioned the need in Korea at which time Oscar was given 1000 Swedish crowns for disaster relief. Later a lady gave a few hundred more.

Oscar also mentions his writing articles for a few publications and his being interviewed for another.

Doris [Rinell, Holmquist] Brown, in 2012, wrote a partial translation and transription of the recording.
