Johannes & Lovisa Andersson were the parents of Johan Bernhard Colldén.

1. Johannes Andersson (April 25, 1822 - ????) married Lovisa Börjesdotter (June 24, 1837 - May 3, 1855). According to Nils Svartholm, Johannes was a crofter (a person who rents farmland on which to farm). The farm was named Bugärde Lillegård.

Johannes and Lovisa, apparently had three children: Aron, Josefina and Johan Bernhard.

Lovisa died young at 27 years of age.

Johannes married again with Cajsa Nilsdotter (July 11, 1824 - ????), who was born in Töllsjö, on May 3, 1865. According to the data we have now, Johannes and Cajsa married on the same day that Johannes wife passed away.

Cajsa had been married to Olof Johansson (April 3, 1811 - December 14. 1855) who died at age 44. They had three children: Anna Christina, August and Johannes. August and Johannes died young in 1859. We do not know when Anna Christina passed away.

(See first part of posting on website 'aforum.genealogi.se' starting with Postat söndagen 06 april 2008 - 19:39.

Cajsa became a mother to Johannes' three children: Aron, Josefina and Johan Bernhard. They continued to live at the Bugärde Lillegård farm.We do not know if Kajsa's daughter was still living when Kajsa married Johannes. And, we do not know if Cajsa and Johannes had any biological children together.

Assuming that Anna Christina was living when her mother married Johannes, and Anna had not gotten married and moved out, Johannes and Cajsa's home was made up of two boys and two girls.

In November 11, 1879 the family, or the family minus any who had moved out on their own including Josefina, moved to the big city of Göteborg in the area of Domkyrkoförsamling (Dom Church Congregation). The family would continue to live in this area for another two generations if you included Johan Bernhard and his wife and children. Josefina moved to Askim.

1.1 Anna Christina Johansson (October 24, 1847 - ????). Anna was the child of Johannes' second wife Cajsa.

1.2 August Johansson (June 5, 1850 - August 28, 1859). August was the child of Johannes' second wife Cajsa.

1.3 Johannes Johansson (March 25, 1853 - June 6, 1859). Johansson was the child of Johannes second wife Cajsa.

1.3 Aron Johannesson or Johansson (May 12, 1860 - ????). Aaron moved to Göteborg 1876-02-04.

1.4 Josefina Johannesdotter (July 25, 1862 - ????) moved to Askim.

1.5 Johan Bernhard Johansson or Andersson (November 20, 1864 - 1910) married Ida Kristina Mod (April 12, 1861 - January 5 or 3, 1946).

Documents list Johan Bernhard's original last name as both Johansson (son of Johan) though his father's name, apparently, was Johannes, and Andersson. We are not sure of the dichotomy. If Johan Bernhard's father's name was Johannes, Johan Bernhard used a shortened version of the name, i.e., Johansson.

This is further complicated by the fact that Johan Bernhard later adopted the name 'Colldén'. Taking a less common name was not uncommon in Sweden at the time. Also, his father, apparently, went by the name of Andersson or 'son of Anders'. So we may safely guess that Johannes Andersson's father's first name was 'Anders'.

Information on this page partly based on a document written by Doris Rinell [aka Holmquist, Brown] to her son Lennart Holmquist, entitled Johannes Andersson in grave. These is apparently a note written while Doris and Lennart were in Sweden in the 1980s or 1990s, and after visiting the grave of Johannes Andersson. However, Lennart (who is me) does not have any memory of this event. Some of the handwriting on the note is in Doris' hand and some in Lennart's. The note records that Johannes Andersson's grave was purchased in 1898. Where that information came from is anyone's guess.
