The letter noted here is one of the few letters I am aware of all the correspondence of Margaret and Roy Jewett. However, it is one of the most important letters that Margaret ever wrote. The letter records their experiences of the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941 including the roar of the enemy's plane's engines, the vibration of exploding bombs, and machine gun bullets breaking the roof shingles of their home. Letter of Margaret Jewett, January 31, 1942 Margaret Jewett was the daughter of Johan Alfred and Hedvig Rinell, Swedish missionaries to China. Roy Jewett was an American electrical engineer. Margaret and Roy met in China and were married in Tokyo, Japan in 1927. (1927) Margaret & Roy Jewett Married Rinell Family: Johan Alfred & Hedvig & their Descendants
