Graphic Representations

by Lennart Holmquist

Below are links to graphical and chronological family trees, a 'map' of the family that you can literally tape together and pin to your wall.

These family trees were created with a software application that allows family information to be 'drawn' across many sheets of paper. To make any sense of the family information contained in any one of these documents you must:

  • Print out the entire document, which will print out about 20 sheets of paper depending up the size of the family tree

  • Cut off about 1 1/2 inchese of the right hand margin and the bottom margin of each sheet of paper

  • Like a giant puzzle measuring about 4 feet by 3 feet, piece together the family tree. You can do this by matching up the lines on each piece of paper that transect each sheet of paper

  • Tape the sheets of paper together

This is a bit of a crude way to see a large graphical representation of a family tree, but this is the best methon I could find using a computer and the limited number of software applications available to me.

I created these family trees some years ago with the family information I had on hand at the time. They all need to be updated with more recently acquired information on the family (usually provided by family members worldwide) and with family members born since the family trees were created.

By the way, these family trees are protected with a password. Much of the information contained in these family trees are of family members still living. A password is used so that the information is not available to the world at large. Only family members have access to this information. If you are a family member and do not have a password contact me by email by clicking on my name Lennart Holmquist. I will verify that you are indeed a family member and provide you with a password.

One last note . . .

You may not be directly related to the people in all these family trees. For instance you may be a member of the Holmquist family, but not the Rinell family. So your name may appear on one family tree, but not the other. However, you will be related to, say, a member of the Holmquist family who is a member of the Rinell family.

The family trees mapped out in a graphical format are:
